I am Teffany Thiedeman, an artist and educator who lives in Canberra and works predominantly in clay. I have also worked with bronze, fibreglass, paper, stone and wax.
But it always comes back to clay.
I have a strong sense of where my work is going, currently that direction is a consolidation or a crystallisation of imagery, techniques and ideas I have worked with for over two decades.
Art permeates my everyday life and my everyday life is entangled in my art. Special bits and pieces of past work, others people’s art and found objects are often incorporated into my sculpture. I hoard and recycle everything.
I am also the art director of Aeon Academy
